Yana Peel is the global head of arts and culture at Chanel. Having started her career inthe equities division at Goldman Sachs, Peel left the firm in 2003 to co-found the Outset Contemporary Art Fund, which facilitates philanthropic initiatives in the arts. Her involvement in the world of arts continued in 2009 when she established and served as CEO of Intelligence Squared Asia—a platform hosting live debates with notable artists.
In 2011, she founded the Victoria and Albert Museum’s design fund, and in 2016, she was appointed CEO of the Serpentine Galleries in London. Peel is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, a Fellow of the Institute of British Architects, and an author of children’s books to benefit the children's charity NSPCC. She is also a member of the international councils of the Tate, the Metropolitan Museum and the American Ballet Theatre.
