Faye McLeod
Founder, Closer
McLeod has created some of fashion's most memorable retail moments, including Louis Vuitton’s Yayoi Kusama store takeovers.

Faye McLeod — who calls herself "Faye Dreams A Lot" on Instagram — is the founder of creative studio and brand incubator Closer. The artist was also visual image director at Louis Vuitton for over a decade, where she transformed the brand's global storefronts to convey captivating visual narratives, creating must-see spectacles for shoppers, casual passersby and social media audiences.
In 2009 she was appointed the creative director of visual for Louis Vuitton, where she was responsible for conceptualising the brand's striking window displays across the globe. McLeod's innovative approach has consistently pushed boundaries. Her installations have not only brought busy streets to a standstill but have also been shared millions of times across the internet, solidifying her reputation as a trailblazer in the industry.
With the global takeover of Louis Vuitton's boutiques to mark the brand's latest collaboration with Yayoi Kusama, McLeod created some of fashion's most memorable moments in 2023. The brand went beyond window displays, covering boutique's facades with giant polka-dots and perching inflatable statues of the artist on the roof, or commissioning Kusama robots to paint on the windows.
Her collaboration with Vuitton's late menswear creative director Virgil Abloh pushed the brand's store animations to a new scale, including rainbow storefronts, stories-tall statues and other immersive installations aimed at creating tactile, 3-D expressions of his vision.
Today, Mcleod continues to work with Louis Vuitton through her creative studio Closer, which has also produced visual imagery for Miu Miu, Nike, Fendi and Skims.
Overall, McLeod's work is a testament to her eclectic vision and dedication to the brand. In addition to Abloh, she has worked with designers including Marc Jacobs , Kim Jones , Nicolas Ghesquière and Pharrell Williams , and has collaborated with artists including Kusama, Jeff Koons and architect Frank Gehry.
