Head of Finance
Founded in Amsterdam in 2021, Róhe is a high-end fashion brand selling globally, built on a philosophy of quiet confidence where craft, innovation, and an artistic community converge. The collections are defined by a rewritten approach to tailoring and elevated minimalism, often inspired by a dialogue between historical and contemporary influences.
As Róhe continues to grow internationally and diversify revenue streams through initiatives such as opening a retail store, we are seeking an experienced Head of Finance. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure a timely, accurate monthly closing process and group consolidation, delivering reliable financial insights to the business.
You will manage the local finance team at our Amsterdam office and coordinate closely with the external accounting partner overseeing the US entities. In addition to owning the monthly close and consolidation, you will continuously improve financial processes, controls, and systems to support the company’s ongoing growth.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with multi-entity environments, international consolidation, and scaling finance functions in a fast-growing company. You are comfortable operating across different accounting standards (NL and US), multiple systems, and both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
Main responsibilities
- Own and manage the monthly closing and group consolidation process across multiple entities and systems, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee stock reconciliations, inventory controls, and margin analysis across wholesale, e-commerce, and retail channels, in close collaboration with Logistics.
- Support in budgeting and financial planning processes together with key stakeholders.
- Standardize and continuously improve financial processes and controls, leveraging and optimizing the ERP system.
- Manage intercompany processes, including inventory flows, intercompany charges, FX exposure, and transfer pricing.
- Prepare and lead finance system and structure developments, including ERP transition and the in-housing of US accounting.
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team in the Netherlands and manage collaboration with external accounting partners for the US entities.
- Oversee tax, compliance, and statutory requirements across NL and US entities, coordinating with external advisors and ensuring audit readiness.
Profile
- 7+ years of experience in finance roles within a growing, international organization, preferably in fashion or retail,
- Strong experience with group consolidation, multi-entity structures, and multi-currency environments.
- Solid knowledge of Dutch accounting standards and US accounting principles; experience working with consolidation and US entities is essential.
- Proven ability to bring structure, standardize processes, and improve financial controls.
- Hands-on mindset combined with strategic thinking and leadership capability.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Experience working with ERP systems and leading system and process change projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English; able to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and results-driven, with a high sense of ownership and responsibility.
What we offer
- An inspiring and creative working environment within an international fashion brand.
- A senior role with significant impact on the company’s growth and future structure.
- A high level of autonomy, responsibility, and ownership.
- A young, ambitious team where no day is the same.
- Working in a historic building in the center of Amsterdam.
- A yearly clothing budget.
- Healthy lunch from our own kitchen every day.
